Hey — I'm Richy. Five years studying at college and university, my Level 3 PT diploma, and a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science all sit behind every session I deliver. This year I'm pushing further with my honours in Sport Science. The point of all that studying isn't to impress you — it's so the programme I write for you is built on what actually works, not what's trending on TikTok this month.

My own training has shifted over the years. I used to live for running — Edinburgh Marathon was a big chapter. These days my passion's muscle development and conditioning, and that's where I love coaching: helping people get visibly stronger, leaner, and more confident in their own skin.

Do I need any gym experience to train with you?
No, you don't need any prior gym experience. I build every programme around your current fitness level and walk you through every movement so you feel confident from session one. A lot of my clients started exactly where you are — never having properly stepped into a gym before.
Where are you based?
I'm based at PureGym Aberdeen on Wellington Circle in Aberdeen (AB12 3QW), serving clients across Aberdeen, Altens, Tullos, and Cove Bay. Easy access from the A90 and free on-site parking.
How much does personal training cost?
Pricing is tailored to your goals and how often you'd like to train. Some people want one focused session a week to keep them on track, others want three. What kind of training will we actually do?

Yes — nutrition is one of my core specialisms. Training only gets you so far without the right fuel, so you'll get straightforward food advice that fits your actual lifestyle. Not a restrictive diet plan, not a calorie spreadsheet you'll abandon in a fortnight — just real, sustainable guidance.
How quickly will I see results?
Most clients feel stronger and more energised within the first two to three weeks. Visible body changes typically follow over the next 8 to 12 weeks of consistent training and good nutrition. I track every session so you can see your progress in real numbers — not just guesswork in the mirror.
